Aiden Robbins
Scouting Report
Robbins did nothing but hit throughout the first part of his collegiate career, becoming well known as one of the top mid major bats in the country. Coming off a year where he slashed .432 with a 1.182 OPS at Seton Hall, Robbins made the decision to transfer to the University of Texas for the 2026 season.
At the plate, Robbins utilizes a high leg kick, coiling into his back leg and leveraging the ground well. It's a quick, compact, right handed stroke with plenty of bat speed. Robbins posts outstanding hard-hit rates, and he seems like someone who is on the barrel pretty consistently. It's loud raw power, and improved feel for lifting the ball has allowed him to slug much more in 2026. Robbins can take some absolute hacks early in counts. He looks like he's trying to send every ball 450 feet over the batter's eye in center field, and that he has done at times. This approach early on in counts has resulted in some swing-and-miss, though Robbins does a better job shortening up with two strikes.
Critics of Robbin's offensive game will point to the fact that his bat-to-ball skills have deteriorated as he's faced better and better pitching. That was the case over the summer on the cape, as well as this year at Texas, though the production really hasn't at all. Robbins can have a bit of a "grooved" swing at times, with holes against breaking balls and more specifically sliders. Those are flaws that could be exposed more against pro pitching, but from a pure production standpoint the guy has hit at absolutely every single stop.
Robbins looks destined for a corner outfield spot where he should be a solid defender with above average speed and an average arm. Robbins has a chance to go off the board pretty early. The smattering of average or better tools he possesses paired with the track record of performance could make him a first round pick.
