Sims is a fun arm in the 2027 class, a guy who throws buckets of strikes and also has one of the deeper arsenals in the college group. His fastball has been up to 95 and will rest in the low-90s with a fastball that has more of a generic shape standpoint. The main secondary here is a hard, biting mid-80s sweeper with above-average spin rates. Sims will also drop in a bigger two-plane curveball, as well as a harder cutter to bridge together the rest of the arsenal. There's also a quality changeup with great depth that Sims kills spin well on.
Sims has historically thrown strikes at a solid clip, he'll have multiple avenues to improve his stock if he can perform in SEC play while also improving his fastball shape and velocity.
