Kellner will be a draft-eligible sophomore for the 2027 MLB Draft, just 21 years old on draft day. Coming off a solid freshman season with Texas A&M, Kellner will try to continue building off of what is a solid offensive foundation already.
Kellner is a compact 6-0, 205 pounds with strength that is already well distributed throughout his body. At the plate, it's a slightly open set up from the right side, with a swing and stance that both heavily resemble Kellner's former teammate Gavin Grahovac. The swing decisions here stand out, Kellner rarely ever expands the zone and has routinely run low chase rates throughout his amateur career. He does have platoon risk, and did show some difficulty producing against right-handed pitchers in 2026. This is still a well-rounded offensive profile, and one most people expect should take strides forward in 2027 when Kellner comes back fully healthy from a face injury.
Kellner has spend most of his time at shortstop for the Aggies, and looks like a viable defender there. He's a solid-average runner with above-average arm strength.
