Scouting Report

Hill didn't pitch a ton throughout the summer circuit, but the size and the arm talent here is considerate. At 6 foot 5, 210 pounds, Hill looks like a grown man on the mound despite being on the younger side of the class. He's the type of northeast arm that could jump up rankings and into day one conversations.

Hill has some effort to his operation, with some things to clean up mechanically to improve the strikethrowing as a whole. It's still the durable frame that looks like it could start at the next level. The arm is loose and whippy coming from a three quarter slot. Hill's arsenal is headlined by an explosive fastball that's been up to 99 mph with both arm-side life and some carry. Hill has two solid secondaries, a changeup and slider that both look at least solid-average. The slider is the better of the two with big sweeping shape. Hill will be 18.3 on draft day, on the younger side of the class.
