Caden Bogenpohl
Scouting Report
From a raw power perspective, it's hard to find anyone who competes with Bogenpohl. He's produced exit velocities north of 117 mph from an XXL 6 foot 6 frame. While there are a strong amount of question marks still throughout his profile, it's rare to find someone with this type of impact upside.
At the plate, there's legitamaite double plus or better raw power, however, Bogenpohl will at times struggle to get to it in games, hitting the ball on the ground much more than a guy with his size and strenth should. There's also a strong amount of swing and miss coming from his game. He posted a 31 percent whiff rate throughout the 2025 season, facing mostly mid major competition not helping his case either. Bogenpohl will have to prove that he can sustain higher level arms and cut down on some of the swing and miss inorder to reach his top 50 pick type cieling. Even with the swing and miss, Bogenpohl will rarely expand the zone, and walks at some of the better rates in all of college baseball. If Bogenpohl can make enough contact, the overall offensive package here could be scary.
In the outfield, Bogenpohl has spent most of his time in center while at Missouri State, but projects to move off once forced by a better defender. He's a lumbering runner who figures to eventually grow into an average to fringy run tool. It's above-average to plus arm strength. The upside here is hard to ignore, but Bogenpohl will be one of the riskier picks in the class given his track record of hitting. If he can find his way into the right development system, there's scary upside here.
