Kerce has been one of college baseball's biggest breakout stars this year. One of the main offensive producers for a talented Georgia Tech team, he's vaulted himself into potential day one range.
Kerce has exceptional bat-to-ball skills, especially inside the zone. He pairs the plus contact skills with solid swing decisions, very little chase. Kerce dosen't possess huge raw power at this stage, but he hits the ball hard consistently enough to think that he could produce plenty of extra base hits at the next level. Homeruns will likely never be a huge of his game, but Kerce has exceptional feel for the barrel.
Kerce plays shortstop for Georgia Tech, but has the look of somebody who will likely play second or third base in pro ball with a shorter, more compact frame without dynamic range or actions. He's a pretty well-rounded player across the board, and could be a higher floor college bat who slots in the top 100 picks.
