Brother of top Cubs prospect Jaxon Wiggins, Carson posseses some of the more electric arm talent in the entire class. Wiggins unfortunately underwent Tommy John surgery in May of 2025, but despite the fact that he might not throw a pitch this spring, Wiggins could end up a day one pick.
The fastball will be what gets all the headlines with Wiggins. He touched 102 mph with the pitch as freshman at Arkansas, regularly holding the upper 90's in his relief stints. Not only does the pitch posses outlier velocity, but it also has huge life and carry through the top of the zone. It's comfortably a 70 grade fastball. Wiggins's slider is also a dynamic offering. It's into the upper 80's with both depth and late, horizontal bight. The pitch performed excptionally well in 2025.
Wiggins is likely a reliever going forward, as he posseses fringe-average command at best at the present. That being said, you could make a case that his arsenal consists of the most dynamic one-two punch in the entire class. Will the injury scare some teams off? Maybe. But the arm talent here is hard to find anywhere else. This could become an elite back of the bullpen arm.
