Carter Beck
Scouting Report
Beck is a thick, physical mid-major bat with metrics that will absolutely light up models. He makes a ton of contact inside the zone, rarely strikes out, and hits the ball hard consistently. Beck has plus raw power, and he's getting to it with more consistency in 2026 due to improved feel for lifting the baseball.
The only real critique with the offensive profile is that Beck has an agressive approach that has limited his ability to draw walks throughout his college career. His swing decisions will need some polish. That said, you still can't ignore the gaudy metrics and traits that Beck is flashing. Beck is an agressive, above average runner who stole double digit bases during his first two years in college, and is on pace to do the same this year. Beck has a chance to stick in center field as a pro, though fringy arm strength could force him to a corner if challenged by a better defender.
