Dugger is one of the better defensive catchers in the entirety of the 2026 draft class. His 70-grade arm behind the plate is an absolute bazooka, his throws are pretty consistently on the bag. He's pretty athletic back there too, despite being bigger in size. Dugger also excels at blocking.
Dugger has a bat-to-ball oriented approach and makes contact at an above average rate while not chasing much. He has well below average raw power, though his exit velocities have taken a step forward this year as a whole. Dugger will provide a solid floor with his plus defensive package and strong bat-to-ball abilities. How much power he taps into will ultimately determine his ceiling due to the demands of the position, but if a team thinks they can increase his bat speed, this could be a really fun follow.
