Chris Rembert
Scouting Report
Rembert broke out in a big way in 2025, becoming one of the top freshman in the country while slashing .344 with 10 homeruns and 13 doubles. He'll be a key returning piece to an Auburn lineup that looks to follow up a strong 2025 year.
At the plate Rembert boasts some solid bat speed, and an up the middle approach. His whiff rates, especially inside the zone where a bit concerning, as he swung in missed in zone at a rate of 18% last year, a slightly below average rate. Rembert is great against velocity, but has shown early struggled against breaking balls and changeups. Despite this, Rembert limited his strikeouts well and rarely chased, showing an advanced approach. He'll need to clean up the whiffs if he hopes to hear his named called in the first round. Rembert has above average raw power from the right side, as he posted exit velocities north of 111 mph this past year. There's a chance we see Rembert's homerun count really tick up this coming season.
In the field, Rembert projects to handle second base at the next level. He's got soft hands and an average arm that should make him an above average defender at the position. Auburn may try to give him some time at shortstop this year, depending on how things shape out. Rembert has a chance to elevate his stock in a big way in 2026, as if he can sure up some of the contact worries and potentially prove he can play shortstop, there's a first round ceiling here.
