Clayton Freshcorn

Freshcorn is a draft-eligible sophmore who saw a solid role out of the aggie bullpen as a freshman. He ultimately finished the 2025 season with a 4.67 ERA across 27 innings pitched.

At 6 feet tall, 180 pounds, Freshcorn is undersized but still offers plenty of projection in his lean frame. He's an ultra-athletic mover down the mound with electric arm speed and a low launch height. Freshcorn's fastball is an exciting offering, up to 97 with plenty of ride up in the zone coming from his low slot. It's a borderline plus pitch. Freshcorn also throws a sweeper with huge horizontal shape at 82-85 mph. It pairs well with an upper 80's cutter that he tunnels well off the fastball. Freshcorn is yet to deploy a changeup, splitter, or any sort of arm-side secondary offering to a significant extent. He'll need to add another layer to his arsenal if he hopes to start at the next level.
