Scott reclassed up from the 2028 class after a strong summer showing. There's considerable upside on both sides of the ball here, and scouts are truly split on which way this profile could end up going.
Off the mound, Scott has been up to 100 mph with a fastball that can take on multiple shapes. There's a sinker with more tailing action then the four-seamer and some depth. Scott will live 95-99 when he's feeling good, and he holds velocity well into his second and third inning of work. The ease of the operation stands out here. Scott is a smooth mover down the mound who controls every bit of his 6-foot-3, 220 pound frame with grace. The polish and command are still on the way, but most believe Scott should have no trouble growing into more strikes. The main secondary here is a tight, hard 88-91 mph cutter/slider hybrid with some bite. Scott also throws a solid mid-80s changeup with fade.
At the plate, Scott has monstrous raw power with what looks a future plus grade on the way. His pull-side leverage stands out in batting practice. Despite his size, Scott has sneaky good hand-eye coordination. He's a little heavy on his feet at third base, with an arm that plays down from what it is on the mound. Even if this ends up at first base, Scott's offensive package is enough to carry the load. He'll be 17 and 2 months old on draft day.
