Daniel Jackson
Scouting Report
Jackson has transformed his game in 2026. Following a sophmore year where he hit just .240 with a 30% strikeout rate, he's hitting the ball harder and more often then ever. The results have been exciting.
Jackson has exceptional feel for the fat part of the bat. It's plus raw power with exit velocities north of 112 mph and some solid feel for launch. Jackson has always ran low chase rates, what has seen the biggest up-tick this year have been his contact rates. He's now flashing above average bat-to-ball skills and a strikeout rate mirroring that of his former Wofford self. The below average hit tool he flashed in 2025 will always raise questions, but what Jackson is doing right now is exciting, especially considering the fact that the success has continued early on in SEC play.
Jackson can provide some value with his legs. He's an above average runner, also pretty athletic behind the dish where he owns plus arm strength. If success can continue for Jackson through conference play, he's got a shot to be a top 100 pick.
