A huge riser over the last calendar year, Santarelli simply looks different than anyone on the field. It's an ultra-physical 6-foot-2, 224 lb frame with huge strength and size.
Santarelli has quickly established himself as one of the more prolific power bats in the class. He's peaked with exit velocities north of 115 mph with wood, displaying what looks like potentially 70 or better raw power at times. It's a short, smooth swing from the left side, with bat speed and feel for the barrel. There's some present swing-and-miss, but that's to be expected for a player with Santarelli's type of bat speed. While he'll likely never be a decorated pure hitter, Santarelli has the type of offensive profile to where it's easy to see him turning in 30+ home run seasons at the peaks of his pro career. It may ultimately end up being some of the most prodigious raw power in the sport.
Despite his size, Santarelli is surprisingly athletic. He's been clocked with 60 times in the 6.7 range, showing off average run times from home to first. In the field, Santarelli has mostly played first base up to this point, but has seen time in the corner outfield as well. Fringy arm strength and range will likely keep him at first, but he's got a strong chance to develop into a solid defender at the position.
