Guevara has a thick, physical look about him in the box at 5-foot-11 207 pounds. He starts open with his hips squared off towards the pitcher, crouched into his legs with a slightly narrow base. Guevara then gets everything moving with a big leg kick. His hands can drift at times, but Guevara gets to good hitting positions throughout the swing.
Guevara has tons of bat speed through the zone, it's impressive hard-hit rates and exit velocities that suggest there's at least above-average raw power in there. Guevara up to this point has struggled with hitting too many groundballs, but he still looks like a guy who could run into 20+ home runs a year. Guevara absolutely mashes velocity, his zone-contact rates have been impressive so far throughout his time on campus for a player with his physicallity and bat speed. He'll at times have trouble adjusting to breaking balls off the plate.
Despite having a more physical frame, Guevara is a surprisingly good defender at third base. His defensive metrics are impressive.
