While he'll be a Senior for the 2026 MLB Draft, Nachtsheim is one of the more analytically appealing arms in the draft. It's a data-darling fastball with over 7 feet of extension and serious cut-ride action up to 97. Nachstsheim has had no trouble getting value out of that pitch so far despite using it a large amount, it's a present plus offering.
The rest of Nachtsheim's arsenal is a bit underwhelming. He'll mix in a tight upper-80s cutter, a low 80s slider, as well as a loopier curveball and a changeup that gets solid vertical seperation off the heater, though really only one of them might be a solid-average offering at the next level. Nachstsheim's command has taken notable strides over the past couple years, he now looks like at least an above-average command guy at the next level, with a strike rate north of 65% in 2026 that you could argue makes him deserving of a plus grade.
