Wright transferred from Bowling Green following a breakout sophomore year, ending up at Rocky Top with a hope at earning a starting gig. While he's spent a majority of his time in center field for the Vols, Wright's step forward with the bat have quickly made him a draft name to know.
Wright is a bat-to-ball specialist who has shown flashes of developing into an above-average hit tool on campus. He's an aggressive hitter with a low walk rate, but also someone that hits almost anything thrown his way. Wright's contact quality isn't anything to write home about, nor is his raw power. It's likely a 40-grade power tool at the next level, with the potential for 10-15 home runs should Wright get the most out of his 6 foot frame.
Wright has positional versatility on his side, and can handle both the outfield and catching duties. He surprised some people with how he looked in center field this spring, and may have a legitimate shot to stick there at the next level with an above-average arm and above-average speed.
