Morse has one of the more intimidating frames out of any arm in this entire draft class. At 6 foot 8, 209 pounds, he towers over his peers, with a frame that's long, lanky, and projectable.
Morse already sits in the mid 90's and has been up to 97 with a fastball that posseses big ride and carry towards the top of the zone coming from a steep angle. It's easy to see a world where the pitch creeps into the triple digits as Morse adds muscle and improves as a mover. His best secondary is a mid 80's changeup that has a chance to be a real out weapon for him. The pitch has tummble and fade off the fastball tunnel, and he throws it with conviction to both left and right handed hitters alike. For now, it's mostly a one-two punch, as Morse throws his breaking ball rarely, and when he does, it tends to pop out of his hand. It's a below average offering for now, though creating a solid breaking ball shape will probably be a main focus in pro ball.
Like anyone who is 6 foot 8, Morse has had trouble controlling his long limbs at times, and can struggle with walks in some outings. Morse will be 19.0 on draft day.
