Ferguson has some of the most explosive stuff in the 2027 class, with a fastball that takes off like a jet rocket at the top of the zone. It's a pitch that touches 98 when he's hot, holding mid-90s throughout the course of an outing. Ferguson rips down on the baseball with ferocious intent. While it's definitely not the most aesthetically pleasing delivery, he's thrown strikes at a gaudy clip so far.
Ferguson's changeup is a good one, sold with arm speed and conviction in the upper-80s with some diving life at the bottom of the zone. It's a pitch he'll deploy mostly against lefties, but one that hitters fish at plenty. A sweepy mid-80s slider is also a quality secondary for him, a pitch righties will chase off the plate, but also one he'll backdoor against left-handed hitters. Ferguson seemingly posts at every event or tournament he attends. It's a track-record of performing against the best competition the country has to offer, and potential for three above-average pitches, two of which are very clearly plus.
