Grant was one of the bigger risers from the 2026 summer circuit after standing out at multiple marquee events like East Coast Pro and USA 18u National Team trials.
There's some moving parts here from the left side, Grant has active hands in the box with some waggle and rhythm. There's also a big leg kick, but Grant calms it all down in time in order to get into good positions in the box. He's an aggressive swinger who runs high chase rates, but the bat-to-ball skills are good enough here to maintain above average contact rates. Grant has a loose left-handed swing and whips the barrel through the zone with serious hand speed. His natural feel for back spinning the baseball stands out, and he'll likely have the chance to continue growing into more power as he physically matures.
Grant has a chance to be an above-average defensive shortstop with solid range and soft hands. He's a fringe-average runner as it stands right now.
