Sperandio sits 93-95 with his fastball and touches 97, showing some feel for working the ball to both halves of the plate. Sperandio’s sweepy breaking ball tends to land in the 79-83 mph range. He spins that pitch north of 2,800 RPM at times, and it looks like a future above-average offering. The changeup is another solid pitch with fading action that he deploys primarily to left-handed hitters.
Sperandio is a fringe-average extender down the mound, but he still features plenty of starting pitching qualities. He is committed to the University of Texas.
