DeVaughan is up to 97 with a fastball that features some cut-ride action coming from a down-hill plane. He's a smooth, controlled mover down the mound who fills up the zone. DeVaughan's best secondary is a sharp, downer curveball that features some biting life when thrown well. He'll spin that pitch north of 2,600 rpms. DeVaughan will also mix in an upper-80s cutter with some solid separation off the heater. A changeup with some tummble will also mix it's way into his arsenal, though he hasn't thrown that pitch as much as his others up to this point. DeVaughan will be on the older side of the class, 19.5 on draft day.
