Leeper is tooled up, with outstanding athletic traits and underlying data. He makes a ton of contact and rarely ever whiffs in two-strike counts. The swing and set up are a bit of an unorthodox one. Leeper has a spread base with a slightly open set up and hands he sets high and away from his body. It's remarkable hand speed with a flatter path through the zone. Leeper has a swing that will at times look very pull-heavy, though he's still found ways to use the whole field to his advantage and cover the entire zone with his barrel. Leeper makes good swing decisions, he doesn't swing-and-miss, and it might already be plus raw power projection. He has all the traits you want to see in a young hitter.
Leeper a plus runner who tests well on force plates and from a grip strength standpoint. It's fringe-average arm strength, he's played center field but may shift off to a corner role as he continues to get more physical.
