Marciano is a lean, athletic left-hander with projectable stuff and a strong track-record of getting outs in a rotation at the college level. He's been up to 94 mph with a sinking fastball, regularly sitting in 88-92 mph range across longer stints. He's a good mover down the mound with above-average extension and a lower than average release height. He controls his levers well, with a visually appealing delivery and a long, loose arm action. Marciano has a full array of secondaries, including a hard cutter with some lift, a sweepy breaking ball and a changeup with some fade and depth. Marciano pounds the strike zone and looks the part of a starting pitcher at the next level. Some added weight to his wiry frame could kick his game into another gear, and push him into top-two round consideration.
