Bowman is a tremendous athlete who posts 70-grade run times alongside outstanding athletic testing numbers. He has a strong chance of sticking in center field at the next level and could easily turn into a highlight-reel defender when it's all said and done.
While Bowman has a bit of a slashy swing from the right side and has yet to display much slugging output throughout his amateur career, his bat-to-ball skills are plus. In fact, his contact rates during his 2026 summer circuit appearances were top-of-the-scale. Scouts will want to see improvements in both contact quality and his ability to loft the baseball, but the high-end athletic profile, long-term center field projection, and borderline elite bat-to-ball ability will favor to models. Buying him out of his NC State commitment will be an intriguing option for teams.
