Berry is a twitchy player with some of the more exciting table-setter traits in the class.
He's a switch hitter who owns above average bat-to-ball skills, though his contact quality can sometimes be deminished by an agressive approach. Berry sets up from a taller, more open stance from both sides of the plate. He starts narrow and features a higher hand set. Berry does a good job spraying line drives to all fields and putting the ball in play. It's unlikely he'll ever be the type to grow into much power, but that's fine given the toolset.
Berry has electric foot speed and has flashed 70-grade run times when quick out of the box. He will provide plenty of value with his legs at the next level. Berry has played shortstop and features bouncy range and quick hands that suit him well at the position. That said, he has had some trouble with errors in the past and it's average arm strength. Worse case scenario Berry moves off to second base or center field.
