Whritenour has electric arm talent, with a fastball that has touched 101 mph and will live in the upper-90s during his relief stints. It's a pitch that takes out of his hand with huge carry and some arm-side life, a potential 70-grade offering at the next level. The slider here is equally as impressive, a hard low-90s bullet with late, sharp bite off the fastball tunnel. It's two pitches that could play in the back of a big league bullpen right now. There's also a solid mid-80s changeup that he doesn't throw much.
Whritenour will have to prove to scouts that he has a chance to start at the next level in 2027. He's shown the ability to throw strikes, but is yet to show much success with getting outs consistently against SEC hitters.
