Justin Lebron
Scouting Report
A name some labeled the potential 1-1 a few months into the 2025 season, Lebron made an early case as the best college prospect in the country. While some issues arised towards the end of 2025, Lebron is off and running again in this year, and has looked like one of the more exciting prospects in the country.
Lebron still has plenty of projection left in his 6 foot 3 frame, but he's added significant muscle over the past few offseasons in college which has allowed his raw power to tick up. At the plate, Lebron showcases quick hands, and a smooth bat path. The power showed throughout the 2025 season, as Lebron slugged 18 homeruns, showing feel to lift and backspin the ball. It's clear plus power projection. The hit tool has been the only part of Lebron's game that scares some evaluators, as after a hot start, Lebron showed inflamed strikeout rates, and a whiff rate approaching 30 percent. He's solid against velocity, but tends to struggle especially against breaking balls, failling to adjust to spin off the plate and changeups aswell. The power upside is clear, but the hit tool will ultimately determine how much raw power Lebron can tap into as he works his way up the proffesional ladder.
Lebron showcases plus speed which translates to both sides of the game, as on the base paths, he's a real threat, and at shortstop the range jumps of the page. With smooth actions and a strong arm, Lebron looks like a plus defender, and a guy who will definitely stick at shortstop long term. Overall, Lebron's tool box looks like one of the more exciting in the entire class, and if the hit tool can iron itself out (early results have been promising) there's 1-1 type potential here.
