Mack transferred from Rutgers to Tennessee following a standout freshman year. He would assume the Saturday night role in Knoxville for most of 2026, inside a talented pitching staff that included the likes of first-round pick Tegan Kuhns.
Mack has touched 100 mph at this stage with two fastball shapes. He features a four-seam fastball with just moderate carry, then a depthy sinker with some arm-side run. Mack features extension just a shade north of 6 feet on Hawk-Eye, with strong spin rates on all his offerings. An upper-80s cutter looks to be the main offering, with 2,500+ rpms and short, tight break with some glove-side action. Mack will also flash a bigger upper-70s breaking ball, as well as a changeup that is fairly generic from a shape standpoint, he tends to change his release height ever so slightly to get to those offerings.
Mack pound the strike zone and gets ahead early in counts, though his walk rates up to this point in time have been more indicative of a pitcher with average control. This is a high floor college arm and a starting pitcher at the next level.
