Mercurius transfered over from UNLV following 2 really strong seasons. He's up to 97 and regularly sits in the low to mid 90's with a fastball that features plus carry. It's a smooth, athletic delivery, clearly a starters look. Mercurius's best secondary is his changeup, though it's farely generic from a shape perspective. He throws it with some arm side fade, but could get benefit from getting more depth on the offering. A low 80s slider with tight shape is the primary breaking ball here. The pitch could benefit from some added power. Mercurius has a lot of characteristics that could make him a fun task for a development team to take on. It's late rotation upside if it all comes together.
