Scouting Report

A transfer from the University of San Diego, Reddemann's game has transformed this spring at UCLA. The stuff as a whole has ticked up, and with Reddemann stringing together as quality of a season as he has so far, he looks the part as one of the top arms in the draft class.

Reddeman's best offering is his fastball which sits in the mid 90's and has touched a new high of 99 mph this year. The pitch has solid riding life coming from his lower release height, and some tailing life. Reddeman gets plenty of chase with the pitch, an it's especially effective when thrown towards the upper half of the zone. Reddeman's best secondary is his changeup, a pitch that he throws against lefties and righties alike and feels quite comfortable in. He throws the cambio with great arm speed and has exceptiontal feel for the pitch at the bottom of the zone.

Probably most surprising about Reddemann when watching him in person was how much more advanced the breaking balls looked then expected. Reddemann throws a sweeping slider that in our look held vert quite well. He also throws a cutter and a curveball, the cutter being better of the two, in the upper 80's with strong shape.

Reddemann continues to pound the zone this year and figures to grow into above average or better command. With the level of polish already present in the arsenal paired with the loud stuff that continues to improve, Reddemann has solidified himself as a round 1 arm in this class.
