Thomas is one of the more exciting mid-major bats in this draft class. It's plus raw power with exit velocities that consistently eclipse 110 mph, and exceptional feel for lifting the baseball in the air. Thomas is hitting the ball harder, and he's hitting the ball harder with more consistency in 2026, both a recipe for success. His barrel rates are exceptional.
Thomas is an aggressive hitter who can at times expand the zone quite a bit. He's had his fair share of swing-and-miss in the past, though his bat-to-ball skills have improved favorably this year. Thomas will likely end up in a corner outfield role when it's all said and done. He's a solid runner.
