Davis is a spark plug, a quick twitch force on both sides of the ball. At the plate it's a direct swing with present bat speed from the left side. Davis does a relatively good job of using the whole field, spraying line drives all over. Davis can be susceptable to breaking stuff at times, lunging over to his front side. Most of these problems stem from high chase rates and an agressive approach, but he's hit at a solid rate so far. Davis dosen't project as a hulking slugger at the next level but there's bat speed to project more power in the tank with added strength.
Davis is a plus runner who should be able to stick in center field. It's a strong arm paired solid route running. Davis will need to sure up some of the concerns surrounding his bat to reach the early round potential, but some of the athletic traits here are undeniable. Davis will be 18.4 on draft day.
