A famous two-way star going back to his prep days, Franco is as tooled up as it gets on both sides of the ball. Off the mound, Franco has touched 99 mph with a sinking fastball that regularly sits in the mid-90s. He also throws a devestating, sweepy mid-80s slider with late, hard break. He spins that pitch north of 2,800 rpms at times, and it presently looks plus. Franco works mostly from the stretch and possesses 40-grade command projection as it stands. There's some polishing that needs to be done here, but the traits are intruiging.
Franco has monstrous raw power from the left side of the plate, but struggles with swing-and-miss. For the time being it's 30-grade bat-to-ball skills and a willingness to expand the zone. Franco has unteachable traits, but also a whole lot of areas of his game that needs work. A team that believes in their ability to develop the more unpolished characteristics could really get rewarded.
