At 6 foot 3, 225 pounds, Harwood already stands out amongst the rest for his loud physical tools. The bat here is intruiging for multiple reasons, and has a chance to be special if it all comes together.
Harwood's 2025 summer showing was loud, and the stats backed that up. Harwood hit .329 across a healthy 105 plate appearence size. His chase and contact rates both held at above average rates, pretty impressive considering the raw power traits. Harwood has been clocked north of 108 mph in batting practice with a wood bat in his hands. His bat speed readings - even better, towards the top part of the 2026 class as a whole. The hit/power combo is enticing but there's only one problem. Harwood has struggled at times to get to that power due to hugely inflated ground ball rates, and little to no feel for pulling and lifting the baseball in the air. Most of this is due to a flatter swing path and wrists that can at times roll over through contact. That being said, it feels like Harwood is one swing adjustment from lighting the world on fire, and if the power can show up in game this spring, he's a name that could really soar up boards.
Harwood is an average runner in the outfield with above average arm strength, likely suiting for a future in right field. Yes, this will put more pressure on the bat to perform, but Harwood looks like he has all the components to do so at the next level.
