Cozart is a physical freak standing at 6-foot-6, 260 pounds with one of the more intimidating frames in all of college baseball.
There's some effort here to the operation, Cozart launches from a higher than average height, yanking down on the baseball and producing the type of backspin that helps his heater gets 20+ inches of carry. Cozart sits 93-95 and will touch 96 on most nights. The pitch generates a ton of value, especially when thrown at the top of the zone. It's already a plus fastball. Cozart has a pretty full menu of pitches. He has good feel for landing a mid-80s cutter that acts as his main secondary, as well as sweepier slider. Cozart also mixes in a curveball and a depthy splitter.
Cozart only started 3 games in Austin during his freshman campaign, though he'll likely see a starting role in 2026. He pounds the strike zone and doesn't walk many hitters.
