Mohammed is a durable, big-bodied right-hander with some of the louder stuff the 2027 class has to offer. Mohammed is a smooth, low-tempo mover down the mound with a longer arm path and absolutely massive hip-shoulder separation at foot-plant. He's an above-average extender down the mound with a long, whippy arm action that gets to a slightly lower than average release height.
Mohammed has been up to 100 mph with a fastball that features darting arm-side life and tail. While it's not a high-carry heater, Mohammed is still able to miss bats due to the over-powering velocity. Mohammed's best secondary is his changeup that he creates big vertical separation on and sells with great arm speed. It's a pitch that looks like a future plus weapon. A mid-80s sweeper has taken some strides over the past few years for Mohammed, but he'll at times try to shape the pitch, and it's still a breaking ball that can feature a bit of a hump at times. Regardless, he spins it north of 2,500 rpms, and can spot the pitch around the strike zone when he needs to. Mohammed has also toyed with a tighter cutter to bridge the rest of his arsenal, though he's yet to show that pitch of much in games.
Mohammed throws plenty of strikes, and has the type of durable frame to where it's easy to see him starting long-term. He will be 18.8 on draft day.
