Scouting Report

A draft eligible sophmore, Strosnider broke out his freshman year at TCU, hitting .350 with a 1.070 OPS and an ample amount of extra base hits. He's quickly established himself as one of the more toolshed players in all of college baseball.

Strosnider is extremely athletic. He's one of the twitchier players in the class and it's extremely obvious watching him on the field. At the plate, there's immense bat speed from Strosnider's left handed swing. He'll post exit velocities peaking at 112 mph, and there's surely more on the way as he continues to leverage his athletic tools. Strosnider won't lift the ball in the air as often, so there's the potential for him to grow into even more power should he improve in that regard. Strosnider's got a solid hit tool, boasting strong in-zone contact rates and middle of the pack strikeout rates. He's got an extremely aggressive approach especially towards breaking balls below the zone, as he'll tend to chase a large amount, limiting his walks. These issues have improved mightily in 2026. Strosnider has lowered his chase rate considerably. His walk rate is currently more than 3 times what it was last year. Yes, 3 times. Strosnider has faced a healthy lineup of arms aswell so far, so it's not like he's doing it against middling competition. Strides in the right direction are definetely being made.

Strosnider has a chance to play center field at the next level. It's plus arm strength and plus speed, athletic traits that could help him to grow into an above average defender at the position. With the trajectory he is on, Strosnider has the tools to profile inside the top 10 picks. He'll be just 21.0 on draft day.
