Bobo has one of the most exciting toolsets out of any outfield prospect in the country, with potential for a number of double-plus grades on his scouting report. He rose up boards following a number of strong performances on the back-end of the summer circuit.
At the plate, Bobo starts slightly crouched in an open set up. His hands don't move much throughout the load, helping him be as precise as possible with his barrel. Bobo is short and direct to the baseball with good hand speed and a barrel that stays through the zone well. He shows impressive adjustability in the box and possesses at least above-average bat-to-ball skills right now. It is somewhat of a slashy stroke, and Bobo can occasionally struggle to create leverage, resulting in a higher rate of ground balls and low line drives. Still, while the hit tool has taken center stage, it's easy to envision more than just a top-of-the-order pest given the rest of his dynamic offensive traits. That said, Bobo's size may limit what the raw power ends up becoming.
Bobo consistently turns in plus run times, and it wouldn't be all that surprising if he is one day a 70-grade runner. He looks like he had the tools capable of staying in center field at the next level, with what is clearly plus arm strength, potentially double-plus. Bobo lacks an extensive track-record of performance at top-tier events like some of his peers, but still has the type of tools that profile in the top-two rounds.
