Tokheim will be a draft-eligible sophmore for the 2027 MLB Draft, just 21 years old on draft day. The offensive package here has a chance to be one of the better ones in the class.
Tokheim is a physically imposing presence in the box who can absolutely pummel a baseball. He starts slightly open from the right side in a crouched stance with a bigger leg kick that helps him sync up. Tokheim creates impressive hip-shoulder seperation that allows him to generate some of the easier bat speed you'll find in the 2027 class. It's plus raw power that he gets to pretty consistently for feel for lifting the baseball. Tokheim has impressive barrel length through the zone and makes a ton of contact on pitches inside the strike zone. Despite a hyper-aggressive approach he's adjustable enough to battle with two strikes and mantain a healthy strikeout rate. There's very little to nitpick at offensively here.
Tokheim has more questions about where his defensive home may end up. A fringe-average runner, he's gotten run in a corner outfield spot for Stanford but may get forced off to first base as a professional. Wherever he plays, the bat will carry the load.
