Tommy LaPour
Scouting Report
LaPour was one of the better arms in the Big 12 this past year, pitching to the tune of a 3.09 ERA across 90.1 innings. What's clear when watching Lapour pitch is that he's a competitor. He pitches with energy, not afraid to challenge guys to beat him.
LaPour has big, physical frame with thick legs and broad shoulders. There's more of an efforty look at times, but the stuff here is electric. LaPour has been up to 100 mph with a fastball that will show flashes of being a huge offering. It'll live in the mid 90's, at times struggling to garner swing miss, but with some loud carry up in the zone. LaPour flashes a solid upper 80's changeup as well, a pitch that could ultimately end up above average or better in due time. There's also a mid 80's slider, but it was probably his worst performing pitch throughout the 2025 season.
LaPour has had solid control throughout his college career, and looks like he should start at the next level. If he can extract more value out of the fastball, there's a day 1 ceiling here.
