Broussard was a JUCO product out of high school, and saw his game kick into another gear in 2025. After transferring to the University of Houston, Broussard slashed .292 with 7 homeruns. He followed that up with a strong stint on the cape where he hit .296 across a healthy 80 plate appearence sample size.
Where it all starts with Broussard is with his legs. He's a 70 grade runner with excellent baserunning instincts, and the tools to be a real base thief at the next level. At the plate, Broussard sets up from an open stance, utilizing a leg kick to time up. It's exceptional plate coverage skills, as Broussard posted an out of zone whiff rate of just 19 percent in 2025, along with a 13 percent overall whiff rate. It's potentially plus bat to ball skills, along with speed that makes those contact skills scary towards the top of an order. While Broussard can get thrown into the "slappy" hitter category at times, there's still solid raw power here. His exit velocities have peaked north of 109 mph, and there's no reason to think Broussard can't grow into average power with some more strength tacked onto his wiry 6 foot 170 frame.
Broussard is an exceptional outfielder with the speed and instincts to play center field long term. He covers tons of ground, and can make highlight reel catches on balls hit in the gaps. It's atleast an above average defender at the next level, potentially plus. Broussard will have to put up another strong year in the Big 12 but he has done everything so far to be considered a potential day one pick.
